Thanksgiving Families Project

Thanksgiving Families Project

The Woman’s Service Club of Windham Thanksgiving Families Project was a special opportunity for many families to enjoy a delicious meal and joyful time. The spirit of caring and giving was evident in this collaborative effort of Woman’s Service Club of Windham, Windham Helping Hands, and the Windham Fire Department. The Windham public schools, Windham Learning Tree Academy, and the Wee Care Learning Center conducted the  Food Drives.

We thank American Legion Post 109, Coco Early Associates and Market Basket in Londonderry for their generous donations. The sorting and filling of Thanksgiving baskets for needy families in Windham was completed at Searles School and Chapel on Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21, 2017.  A special ”Thank you” also goes to Donna Markum, facilities coordinator of Searles School and Chapel, for her help in making that possible.

Polly Chervincky, Patti Letizio, and Paula Carmichael, who chaired the food drive, wish to thank the many volunteers who helped make this project a success.
